Year in Review: 2013

I'm jumping on the blogger bandwagon and telling you the highs and lows of 2013!

In January life was pretty uneventful. I did see Lady Gaga for the third time, just two weeks before she had to cancel her tour because of a broken hip.

In February I didn't feel too great for most of the month. My dad got a new puppy, though! Riley is a precious pup.

March was kicked off with a week's stay in the hospital for me because I had an abscess! No wonder I felt so crummy in February. While staying at the hospital for so long was a definite bummer, I was so glad to know why I had felt so bad in the weeks leading up to it.
As crappy as March started though, it ended with phenomenal news: I GOT ACCEPTED INTO GRAD SCHOOL!

April was also fairly uneventful. There was a lot of hanging out with friends and me being excited about grad school.

In May, I turned 25! I had a double party with my bestie with some of our bestest friends (and cookie cake!) and two-stepped the night away! I saw my second-ever Rangers game and checked out a new outlet mall in Grand Prairie.
I also got to celebrate on of my college roomie's engagements and meet her then fiance (now husband) and catch up after almost 3 years! (I'm so good at Facebook stalking that I'm actually really bad at keeping in touch with words.)

June was one of the more exciting months of my year! I got to see Shaping Sound, a dance company started by two So You Think You Can Dance alum, perform in Dallas. A few days after, I saw my seester graduate from high school and leave for summer school in Galveston all in about a week and a half's time.
I also got to go to Fort Worth to celebrate Stacey's bachelorette party with fun and friends!
And I got to be artistic with Lindsay at Pinot's Palette and paint a peacock!

The first few weekends of July were the calm before the storm full of cleaning and packing before my lease started! I got to fly to North Carolina and see Stacey get married!
Following my weekend in Raleigh, I came back to Texas and met my furniture at my apartment the day my lease started! And the following weekend I moved with the pup - he loves our apartment.

In August, I started grad school. To celebrate I threw it back to my first day of Kindergarten.
With a new chapter of life comes new people to meet and friends to make! My grad school friends are amazing and I don't know that I would have made it through my first semester without them.

September started with Lindsay and Chad announcing their baby boy due in March 2014!!! I had known for about a month after having THREE dreams where Lindsay was pregnant (I have pregnovision).
September is also the month that college football takes over. Even with TCU's depressing season, I had a blast at the games.

In grad school, October means stressed out and no fun. I spent October glued to my laptop and books, studying and writing papers, and having little to no fun. I did help Panda celebrate her 26th, though! It was so fun catching up with her.
And my mom came to Fort Worth and we went to the zoo to see the baby elephants and baby jaguar! The Fort Worth Zoo is amazeballs and had a crazy baby boom this summer. I'll never outgrow the zoo.

In November, I got to come home for Amanda and Jonathan's wedding and see all of my friends!
The next weekend my friends came to see me and I gave them a mini-tour of Fort Worth and my favorite places, which included going to the zoo again!
To end November, my Baylor bestie, Katie, and I went to brunch and the TCU-Baylor game (which ended up being a much better game than anticipated) and had a great day!

December arrived and brought a hot, hot dude you might know as JT and some FRIGID temps.
I also successfully completed my first semester of grad school and came home to spend time with family and friends for Christmas!

Although 2013 started out kind of rough, it ended up being an awesome year! I can't wait to see what 2014 holds for me and my friends (I definitely see a sweet baby boy in the Spring)! Happy New Year, everyone! STAY SAFE TONIGHT.

101 in 1001 Update

So, at the very beginning of last year, I decided to start a 101 in 1001. Basically, if you don't know, it's like a bucket list with 101 things to do in 1001 days!

I decided to take a look at how I'm doing now that it's been almost two full years. I have about 270 days left to finish almost the whole thing. I haven't even completed a full THIRD of what I set out to do! Some of that can't be helped (I'm more than likely not going to make it to Orlando for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, no matter how badly I want to - no time, no money - BOO). But WOW, I've got some work to do!

One of the items on this list is to see a movie I've never seen starting with each letter of the alphabet, so I thought it'd be a good idea to actually chart my progress on this since I haven't been keeping track.

Pop Danthology 2013

So a few weeks ago I shared DJ Earworm's United State of Pop for 2013. I'm usually really obsessed with his mashups every year, but this year's left me a little underwhelmed. But this morning, BuzzFeed alerted be to another DJ who mashes up the year's hottest hits. And this one doesn't disappoint me. At all.

Anyone wanna have a dance party?

Favorite Songs of 2013

One of my favorite bloggers of 2013, Helene, is hosting a link up today!

Helene in Between

Holla! Get ready to listen to a bunch of really good music if you're linking up with us!

Royals by Lorde

I think it's safe to say that most, if not all, of us have fallen in love with this girl's voice. She's amazeballs. AND SHE'S ONLY, like, SIXTEEN! 16. Cray. I can't wait to see what this girl has in store for us in the future.

Stubborn Love by the Lumineers

I've yet to hear a song by the Lumineers that I don't like, if not LOVE. They remind me of music from my high school years, but not nearly as emo - hahaha.

Work Bitch by Britney Spears

And then Britney gifted us with this song and the world was happy because BRITBRIT. IS. BACK. I love her. My teeny-bopper self will always love her and want to see her live. Note to self: GET TO VEGAS.

Do What U Want by Lady Gaga featuring R. Kelly

This might be one of my all time favorite Gaga songs. Her new album is fantastic. The whole thing is full of songs that make you want to get up and dance!

We Can't Stop by Miley Cyrus

Would this list really be complete without Miley? Say what you will about her antics, but I've loved Miley since her Hannah Montana days. She is actually very talented and I'm excited to hear more of the Bangerz album (can't decide if I want to buy it yet or not haha).

Say Something by A Great Big World

This song has been around for a while, but thanks to So You Think You Can Dance and the AMA's it's taking over the world. It's just an amazing song. I love it.

Lose Yourself to Dance by Pharrell and Daft Punk

This match up produced two of my jams this year. Seriously. Why did it take these artists so long to make music together? So great. And any song that tells its listeners to dance is a winner in my book.

Drink You Away by Justin Timberlake

So this song may not be on the radio (YET), but he performed it at the VMAs right after my obsession started. I absolutely LOVE this song. Especially after seeing him live (2 weeks ago - omg. amazeballs).

Animals by Martin Garrix

And of course, for our link up host Helene, my favorite EDM song of the year. Seriously obsessed with this song. Can't. Get. Enough.

Are you linking up with Helene today? Are any of your favorite songs on my list?

I'm Always a Kid on Christmas!

I'm (un)officially done with my first semester of grad school, so to celebrate I'm linking up with Helene and Tay for I'm Always a Kid on Christmas!

Helene in Between

I get SUPER excited for 24 hours of A Christmas Story, a family tradition.
A house in my hometown has this in their window every year
I love any excuse to listen to excessive amounts of Vince Guaraldi, the guy who does the music for the Peanuts.

I love, love, LOVE to go looking at Christmas lights. Like, LOVE. I could do it every night if I had the time and the money for gas. And light parks.

My Dad's church does the LoveFeast service every Christmas Eve and it's one of my favorite traditions, even if we only started about 5 or 6 years ago.
circa Xmas '89
Christmas Day is an excuse to wear PJs all day - if you know one thing about me it's that I loooove my PJs!

There's lots of fun parties to go to and people to see!

PRESENTS - even when I know (almost) everything I'm getting (like this year). I can never quite contain my excitement for presents.
Christmas card shoot with my new seesters, circa 2001
Shopping for other people. I absolutely LOVE brainstorming and then shopping for gifts for my loved ones.

Shetland Ponies. Let me explain, apparently when my dad's dad was a little boy, he always wanted a Shetland Pony. Somehow that transferred into our family calling our biggest, most expensive present our "Shetland Pony." So every year, I get excited to find out what my Shetland Pony is! I almost always know, but it's still exciting to open it and see it for the first time!

Having any excuse to dress up. Even if it is in a home made tacky sweater.
Tacky Christmas/White Elephant/End of the World party last year
Christmas food. All of the food. Turkey. Stuffing. Cookies. Candy. Kahlua. All of the food.

Dressing my dog up in Christmas sweaters.

Watching the weather to see if it will actually be cold on Christmas.
IT SNOWED ON CHRISTMAS LAST YEAR. IN TEXAS.
Friends and family. Spending so much time with them to the point you're tired of them. But you still love them so you never want to leave/them to leave.

Christmas Music. "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidayyyyyys," anyone?

What makes you feel like a Kid on Christmas?

United State of Pop 2013

It's that time of year again! DJ Earworm has released his annual United State of Pop remix.

It's not my favorite of his, but it definitely shows how diverse the music this year has been. And it's upsetting that the download isn't free this year... Oh well, man's gotta make money somehow, I guess.

Are you a fun of the United State of Pop remixes?

Why Grad school is Actually the Hunger Games

After some particularly harrowing weeks of school and Catching Fire finally coming to theaters, I've been inspired to write this blog post comparing the Hunger Games (books.movies/scenario in general) to my short time in grad school.

That being said: SPOILER ALERT. If you haven't read the Hunger Games series, you really need to get on it ASAP. And go see the movies. But read the books first.

During the first week, you actually have stuff due. It's still "syllabus week" like in undergrad, but you're expected to have shit done already. It feels like coming up into the arena for the first time after you've just possibly said goodbye to your stylist for the last time.

During the first month, some professors expect you to already know what your thesis (or project) will focus on.

There's that one person in your program that ruins things for everyone else, naturally everyone starts an alliance against this person. We'll call them the Career.

If you're lucky, you have an awesome professor that everyone loves. They'll help you with your projects and be genuinely interested in your success in school, not just their class. This person is like your mentor and sponsor.

Of course, not all the professors are awesome. Some dislike you for no reason.

Sometimes you feel like you're in a literal fight to the death. With yourself. And the worst feeling is knowing that you've done this to yourself...

But you make great friends.

And you surprisingly laugh. A lot.

So maybe grad school isn't always completely like the Hunger Games, but some weeks it is. I'm just glad I've got my grad school besties by my side to help me.

Let's Talk Hemsworths

So I *finally* saw Thor: The Dark World yesterday afternoon. And Friday night I got to see Catching Fire, which was amazeballs. I can't wait to see it again. Needless to say, I had a weekend of Hemsworth brothers and I feel inspired to share my thoughts with you... In gif form, obviously.

Here's Chris. AKA Thor. He's like classic 90's Brad Pitt. But buff and hotter. And Australian, so he's got that accent thing going on...

Here's Liam. AKA Gale. He's the youngest of the three (yes, there's another one) Hemsworth brothers. Seriously, what are their parents doing right?!

So, basically any time they come on any screen (TV, movie, laptop, etc), I'm like...

Or...

And when I think about how lucky their leading ladies are (Natalie Portman in Thor and Jennifer Lawrence in the Hunger Games), I'm just like...

And I wonder why I can't be so lucky.

I can't even go on. In conclusion...

Do you love the Hemsworths?

Almost Home Free!

I'm officially on Thanksgiving break. I've got the whole week off! I'm so thankful I've kept my sanity in tact (for the most part) through this first semester of grad school insanity. Even though I'll probably spend a majority of my week working on my final projects, I'm so excited no have have anywhere to be or anything to turn in for an entire week.

To celebrate the (unofficial) end of my first semester of grad school, this week I will be seeing Catching Fire with my friends at home, doing a little shopping, playing with Nappy a lot, and going to the TCU-Baylor game with my Baylor alum bestie, Katie. I ended up having the hook up for seats AND parking for the game and even though Baylor is going to smack the pants off of TCU to cap off the most disappointing season in 10 years, it's always a good time with me and Katie.

Maybe during my time off I'll be inspired to write an actual post that is interesting and not completely boring like this.

I hope those of you that get the entire week off enjoy it! Happy Thanksgiving!

Burning Pews

Fun title, right? I'll get to it in a minute. I'm back for a (late-ish) weekend recap!

I went home this past weekend for the first time in about 6 weeks! It was a very relaxing weekend... Mostly.

Friday morning, Nappy and I woke up super early and headed East. I had a haircut appointment at 11 and it was beyond a necessity. I hadn't had my hair cut since mid-July. I sat in class Thursday night looking at all of my split ends - not cute. After my much overdo hair cut, I stopped by my old office to say hi to everyone and visit for a few minutes. Two of my co-workers announced they were pregnant right before I left so I finally got to see their cute bumps! (Side note: EVERYONE is pregnant right now. I'm just married to my school work. But seriously the class of 2032 is going to be huge.)

After that, my mo and I grabbed some lunch and headed to the Junior League of Tyler's Christmas Market, Mistletoe & Magic. It was a total bust, except I found a super cute ornament for my bestie who is preggers (yep, pregger #3 of one post - these girls are all due 4 weeks apart from each other, too) and her hubby. After that, my mom and I stopped by this cute little cookie place and got a half-dozen snickerdoodles for me to bring back to FW. Seriously, so good.

Sister 2 Sister cookies. Delish.
Saturday was by far the busiest, and most fun, day I was home. We got up and took Nappy to the vet because he got groomed Thursday and they did something new and he got a staph infection. Poor baby, he's on the mend now though, no worries. After a quick glimpse of the TCU-ISU game, I got ready and headed to the chapel for a wedding. Here's where my fun title comes in...

TCU pulled out their win in the last seconds of the game (keeping us in the race for bowl eligibility, at least for the time being) and I may or may not have been trash talking and checking my phone for updates during the ceremony. Sorry, friends. Didn't mean to set our pew on fire. I got to see all of my wonderful Tyler friends and we had a blast at the reception afterwards. Not to mention we got to see two of our friends get married which is always a good time!

Kendall, Anna, Amanda, me, and Lindsay
After the reception, I went home and got comfy and watched part of the Texas A&M-Miss State game before Lindsay and Chad invited me over to look at all the cute baby clothes they already have and their new apartment! Why are baby clothes SO stinkin' cute?

Then we headed out for a delicious dinner at Villa Montez with the whole gang. Their mojitos are delicious but strong. About 3/4s of one does me in pretty good. After dinner, Lindsay and Chad took me to a cute little soda and candy shop that recently opened. It's one of the neatest places I've ever been to and they make their own soda! I got a bag full of candy and bought Lindsay and BB (our nickname for the baby since they won't tell us what they're naming him yet) a giant Laffy Taffy.

Dinner

Candy and Soda Shop fun!
I was going to leave Sunday, but I decided to stay one more night since I only have night class on Monday to worry about. Sunday was very low key, just hanging out with my mom and having breakfast for dinner - yum.

That was my weekend. This coming weekend, my friends are coming to visit me and we're planning on going to the Zoo to see the baby elephants and other random baby animals because the FW Zoo is having a baby boom! Plus the FW Zoo is amazeballs. I can't wait to show them the coolness of the Fort and take them to all the yummy restaurants. Ok, maybe not all because I have a list a mile long, but definitely some of my favorites.

How was your weekend?!

Check This Out!

So for the past few weeks, one of my all time favorite bloggers, Helene has been doing a post called "10 Things That Are More Important." Last night, on her Facebook page, she called for ideas for things that are ore important to be featured on her blog.

Well, some of you may have heard that a study was released that says Oreos are as addictive as cocaine, which I totally believe. I've been saying I'm addicted to Oreos since, like, June. So, basically it's true, I am actually addicted to Oreos (if I'm anything like a rat, and let's be real, we probably really all are). Anyway, Helen jumped on this and it's one of her 10 things! So go check out her post and check me out since I definitely got a shout out! WOOHOO!

Grad School Pupdate

Y'all, grad school is hard. It's stressful and the last two weeks wore on my sanity. But this face is why it's so hard most of the time...
"Maaaahm. Why you gotta read so much?!"

Do your animals make your homework hard?

Weekend Shenanigans!

It's been a while, but I'm here to link up for Weekend Shenanigans!

Sami's Shenanigans

This is probably the last *really* fun weekend I'll have until November because October in grad school means MASS CHAOS.

My weekends always kick off Thursday evenings around 9:30. After class, my friends Caty and Callie and I headed to Chili's for dessert and drinks. I needed chocolate. We all needed drinks. It was a good time, obviously.

Friday afternoon I met Caty and Callie for lunch at McKinley's, one of my all time favorite lunch spots on Fort Worth. They have the best chicken salad and cookies ever.

After lunch my day went downhill for a number of reasons including the mass amount of traffic I encountered on my way back to my apartment because it was parents' weekend. It took me almost an hour to get home. Ridiculous. Then I took an extra long nap and spent the evening doing homework. The glamorous life, y'all.

Saturday morning, I got up early and prepared for the Battle for the Iron Skillet. I checked the weather channel website at least 6 times in about an hour long time period to make sure it wasn't going to rain. Then I headed over to Lauren's cute little house for breakfast and mimosas before going to the game with Lauren, Callie, and Emily. We had a blast at the game (despite the random, short downpours) and I got to see two of my campers and two other camp girls!

After the Frogs came out victorious over the ponies, I came home and played with Nappy before my bestie from high school, Katie, came over for dinner and a mini girls' night complete with Cracker Barrel and brownies.

Sunday was pretty low key and full of homework. But Saturday was so jam-packed that it was nice to stay in PJs all day and not go anywhere. Nappy enjoyed the lazy day, too!

How was your weekend? Did your football team win?!

Fan Friday: the Battle for the Iron Skillet

Two posts in one day? Three posts in one week? I know, guys, just be prepared for basically NO posts next month. I'm just here to tide you over while that happens...

Venus Trapped in Mars

Anyway, this weekend, TCU's "cross-town" rival, SMU, comes to town to play in one of college football's greatest rivalries: the Battle for the Iron Skillet. TCU and SMU have played each other every year since 1915 with the exception of six years. TCU leads the series, by like 5 games, I think. It would be more if we TCU didn't have a really sucky period back in the 80's when SMU was playing players with cars, drugs, and hookers. What college aged boy wouldn't play well with that incentive?

Anyway, I'm here to link up with Sarah for Fan Friday to explain the fun (and maybe a few not-so-fun) parts of in-state rivalries, especially between two private schools located about 50 miles away from each other that are both really good schools. Just maybe never good on the football field at the same time, although I will gives props to SMU because they've made four(?) bowl games in a row lately, so kudos.

Playing football after your bye-week and it happens to be a big rivalry.

When a delusional SMU fan says their school is better at everything, football included.

The one random year SMU beats us.

When we beat SMU and the Iron Skillet stays in Fort Worth.

Sitting behind drunk frat boys at the game with your mom in the rain...

When it rains every.year.at the smu game. every.year.

That time sMU thought they could get into the Big 12 before TCU...

That time TCU got into the Big 12 before SMU...

I'll say this though, between the frat boys at TCU and the frat boys at SMU, there is some nice eye candy at this game.

Do any of these apply to your college's big football rival? Oh and GO FROGS! Pound the ponies!

September Jam Sesh

So clearly, I've been a little MIA, but I remembered it was #backthatazzup Friday and got SUPER excited. Let's talk about how awesome music has been this month? New Katy Perry and Lady Gaga to kick things off. AND THEN NEW BRITNEY SPEARS?! Holy shnikes, Batman! Good stuff.

I'm here to get your weekend started with a little dance party. Get ready to chair dance, y'all.

Go call the Guv'nah, this song is hot. I can't help but dance when I hear this... or play it on repeat. I'm DYING to see BritBrit in Vegas. I'm sure I have enough money saved somewhere... Anyone wanna go? I thought so. We can dress up like school girls. Or not, totally up to you. How about spring break? Awesome.

If you're new around here, you may not know this but I. Love. Gaga. She is insanely talented and gorgeous and puts on a bad ass show. I highly suggest you see her in concert if you even consider yourself a fan, but start saving now because you're going to want awesome seats. She doesn't stop for two straight hours - just for costume changes, which you know are awesome. I've seen her 3 times and will see her again when she tours for ARTPOP.

Let's just talk about how awesome Katy Perry is. She's also beautiful and talented and I want to see her in concert, too! Hopefully se'll announce a Prism tour soon so I can plan that concert! Anyone wanna come with? I figured.

And now I'm breaking away from the above very talents ladies for three talented dudes. So, Pharrell and Daft Punk just need to make their own band because between this and "Get Lucky" I'm beyond obsessed with this trio. This might be my life's anthem. I just can't help but dance when I hear a good song, like this one, be it in my car or solo in my apartment while my dog looks at me like, "Mom. Stop. You're embarrassing."

What have you been jamming to this month? Are you linking up for #backthatazzup?

Humpdayyyyy Update

What day is it? Hey, guess what day it is!

HUMPDAYYYYY!

Since I'm actually on top of grad work this week, I thought I'd give you guys an update.

Grad school is a major time suck. I don't know what I do with all of my time, but I use it up. It's insane. But I am still alive and I've made new friends, which is nice, obviously. Gotta have your people no matter where you go.

I went home over the weekend to partake in eating fair food with my friends and to see one of my bestie's baby bump! By the way, one of my besties is preggers!!! I cannot wait to meet the little nugget and snuggle him/her. We've still got 6 months til that happens, though. But I ate my weight in fair food this past weekend and I've been trying to recover ever since, hahaha. So much fried deliciousness.
mmmm, funnel cake...
My mom is planning on a visit in about a month and I can't wait! The Fort Worth zoo has not just one, but TWO baby elephants right now and I'm dying to see them! I haven't been to the FW zoo (or any zoo, really) in about 4 years, so it's beyond time. And then I'll go again in November when my friends come visit, too!

This weekend is one of TCU's big rivalry games, SMU, aka the Battle for the Iron Skillet. It's supposed to rain and I swear it rains every.single.year. on the day/night we play SMU. It rained last year. It rained my senior year. It might rain this year. Ok, so that's not every single time, but I swear, at least half of the time it rains. But my plans are to go. Maybe it won't be as hot if it's raining...?

Then it'll basically be October which is going to be my busiest month for grad school. I'm dreading it, but I'm really trying to be on top of my stuff and start early on things I can. Here's hoping I don't keel over... Especially because I'd really like to see those baby elephants. And get a new iPhone. There's so much to live for! hahaha but really, October will be stressful, but at least I'll have Fall Break thrown in there somewhere, even if I will have to do homework.

I hope you're all doing well out there in blog land. I've been lurking and have stayed on top of a few of my favorites, just little time to post.

Fan Friday

I'm linking up with Venus Trapped in Mars for Fan Friday!

Venus Trapped in Mars

My original title for this post was "Placing Your Hopes in the Hands of 20-Year-Old Boys," but Blogger decided that was too long... but I'm here to talk about placing your football hopes and dreams in the hands of 18-23-year-old boys: aka College Football.

1. When the other team intercepts the ball or your team fumbles the ball.

2. When your really, really good quarterback gets suspended and leaves school for rehab (sad, sad, sadness for TCU last year).

3. When your freshman backup quarterback is better than expected and still gets you to a bowl game.

4. When your coach decides to go for and 2-point conversion...

5. When the 2-point conversion is GOOD!

6. Or when the 2-point conversion is not good and you've wasted the chance for an actual point.

8. When your quarterback who had to leave the team and enter rehab comes back.

9. Losing to an FCS team when you're in the FBS (I don't know how this feels and hopefully won't for the foreseeable future so I'm only assuming that K-State and Oregon State feel similarly).

10. Seeing your team's renovated stadium complete for the first time.

11. Having the best coach in college football (If I've never mentioned it, I love Gary Patterson).

12. And finally, after losing to LSU... Your team starting the season 0-1.
(But again, at least it was LSU and not an FCS team...)

Do you love your college football team? I mean, I don't know if you can tell, but I love TCU. Like, a lot. Go frogs!

August Jam Sesh

I just remembered it's the last Friday of the month! I've been so consumed with COLLEGE FOOTBALL starting this weekend that I forgot! In honor of college football, I'll be sharing my favorite songs to get me pumped for tailgating and cheering on my Frogs!

"I Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty
This is a TCU fan MUST. Our coach, the amazing Gary Patterson love him some Tom Petty and this song was on the team's playlist the first time we made a BCS Bowl (Fiesta Bowl after the 2009 season) and it's been a stadium playlist staple ever since.

Not only does this take me back to sixth grade, it takes me back to the '09 season to the Utah game when we dominated and sold out the stadium for the first time in years for a conference game. The whole stadium shook with excitement. AHHH! I can't wait to go to games again this year!

It's a must for the little guys, like TCU.

I officially have less than 24 hours until TCU and LSU kick off at AT&T (formerly Cowboys) Stadium. I won't be there, sadly, but I will be at home with Nappy wearing our purple (yes, I got my dog a jersey) and cheering loud: GO FROGS!!!

Are you excited for football season? What are you football season jams?

Spoiler Alert

So, I don't know if you guys watch Pretty Little Liars, but I do and last night was the mid season finale and a huge ass bomb was just dropped. I don't read the PLL books, not that I think they've stuck to them very closely, so I have NO idea what's happening. And I avoid spoilers at all costs.

Also, you've been warned by the title if you haven't yet or don't watch PLL, stop reading.

Last night, watching PLL, finding out Ezra is A or part of the REAL A team, I felt how Game of Thrones non book readers felt after the Red Wedding.

I love Ezra. I love Ezria. I'm so upset and heart broken and shocked and I don't even know. I don't think I can trust anyone on that show any more. AND Ali might still be alive?!

I just... I don't know. And now we have to wait for the Halloween episode (which is, thank God, two hours) and then wait for January for the mid season premier! UGH.

Damn, Ezra, how could you?
If you watch PLL, please leave your thoughts in a comment. I need to talk about this with as many people as possible. I'm just way upset. I just can't even fathom what's going on.

High Five for Friday!

I've officially finished week one of grad school! YAY! To celebrate, I'm linking up for High Five for Friday!
 photo H54Fbutton-1_zpsa7aaa665.png

1. In honor of my first week of grad school, I participated in #throwbackthursday on Instagram with this gem! My first day of kindergarten. Check out that hot uniform.

2. Last Friday, Nappy got a bath which means a new bed for his crate. I put the old bed out in the living room so I could vaccum it and save it for an emergency. He was so tired but afraid to go to his crate, that he laid on the old bed. He also got a new toy as a peace offering from me and I laid it on him for a picture. He was not amused, clearly.

3. ESPN Classic reran the Rose Bowl TCU won the other night from 11-1. Did I stay up to watch it? Hell yes. Until TCU goes to the national championship (preferably with me in the stadium) this will be the greatest game ever. Also, IS IT FOOTBALL SEASON YET?!

4. I've made the terrible decision that Fridays will be used for catching up on reading and hopefully preparing for the next week. Lame, maybe, but I'd really like to be great at grad school!

5. And finally, this is my room. Doesn't it look cozy? It is. My tempurpedic mattress is my best friend for life, sorry everyone else. I love it so much! I still have a little decorating to do, but my apartment is definitely coming together. Aside from my noisy upstairs neighbors, I'm loving apartment life so far!

BONUS: I saw the Mortal Instruments solo on Wednesday and really enjoyed it! I wasn't a huge fan of the book but I love Lily Collins so I was excited for the movie and was not disappointed! It's made me interested in the second book of the series... I don't know when I'll read it; maybe Christmas break?

How was your week?
