I just remembered it's the last Friday of the month! I've been so consumed with COLLEGE FOOTBALL starting this weekend that I forgot! In honor of college football, I'll be sharing my favorite songs to get me pumped for tailgating and cheering on my Frogs!

"I Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty

This is a TCU fan MUST. Our coach, the amazing Gary Patterson love him some Tom Petty and this song was on the team's playlist the first time we made a BCS Bowl (Fiesta Bowl after the 2009 season) and it's been a stadium playlist staple ever since.

"Sandstorm" by Darude
Not only does this take me back to sixth grade, it takes me back to the '09 season to the Utah game when we dominated and sold out the stadium for the first time in years for a conference game. The whole stadium shook with excitement. AHHH! I can't wait to go to games again this year!


"Uprising" by Muse
It's a must for the little guys, like TCU.

I officially have less than 24 hours until TCU and LSU kick off at AT&T (formerly Cowboys) Stadium. I won't be there, sadly, but I will be at home with Nappy wearing our purple (yes, I got my dog a jersey) and cheering loud: GO FROGS!!!

Day Thirteen

Day 13 - Who's your favorite musician and why?

I don't have a single favorite. I like WAY too many, but off the top of my head:

Lady Gaga - As if I didn't like her enough, her concert solidified her as one of the best musicians and performers ever. She puts on the best shows, never stops going, and does whatever she can for her fans! She's amazing.
The Killers - I absolutely love Brandon Flowers and co. They're great. They also put on a really good show. Flowers' voice doesn't sound like it'd be the best live, but they sound just like the recordings, but obviously they were live.
Coldplay - Does this one really need an explanation? they're awesome. They're music is great for almost any situation and emotion.
Muse - A newer love of mine. Their music seems to change every album and the lead singer is an amazing piano player as noted in "Butterflies and Hurricanes."
Britney Spears - I've pretty much loved her since "Baby Hit Me One More Time." She has evolved so much and despite the crazy period, she's still amazingly successful! I'd love to have seen her in concert last year when she came through, but she was more than Gaga was.

"Paper Planes" - MIA; Did anyone not listen to this song?
"Just Dance" - Lady Gaga; going to the frat Tacky Christmas Sweater mixer with Brigitte
"Starlight" - Muse; One of four Muse songs in the top 18 songs on this playlist, I discovered and fell in love with them
"Let It Rock" - Kevin Rudolf and Lil Wayne; By far the best football game junior year: TCU vs BYU 2008, "Feelin' the Buzz Mormons? Didn't Think So!"
"Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" - Cage the Elephant; a free iTunes download and I'm copletely obsessed with the band now
"If U Seek Amy" - Britney Spears; Amanda wrote a paper on this for one of our classes

"Love, Save the Empty" - Erin McCarley; seeing He's Just Not That Into You and feeling so enlightened and wanting to re-read he book
"Krazy" - Pitbull ft. Lil Jon; part of my step-sister's hip-hop in her spring show was this song and I loved them both (the song and the hip-hop)

Ok, not as hard as I thought to keep it under 25 songs. I feel like these doing these posts 4 days in a row is equivalent to how long I've been in college. I seriously don't think I should be a senior yet. I was JUST a freshman... Oh nostalgia!
