Hello, October! I've been waiting anxiously for your arrival! It's going to be a jam-packed month o' FUN!!! :)
This weekend: Friday night is the So You Think You Can Dance Tour with my mom. We skipped last year (it was the same weekend as a friend's wedding out of town, boo), so I'm really excited! Plus, I LOVE RICKY UBEDA. Oh and we might be seeing a movie called Gone Girl this afternoon. Have you heard of it? I can't wait! I think Ben Affleck is going to PERFECTION at playing Nick Dunne.
Saturday is tailgating and playing Oklahoma! Go frogs!!! And Sunday night a wonderful artist by the name of Jason DeRulo is performing on campus. FOR FREE (for students and a plus one). So my friend Maggie (who loves Jason) and I are going to that to dance the night away. I also told her to make a move on him since he and Jordin Sparks are splitsky right now.
Next weekend, my grad school bestie, Caty, is getting married! I'll experience my first Catholic wedding so that'll be cool. Then we'll dance the night away and celebrate C&J! TCU will be playing Baylor in Waco which should be a crazy game.
The weekend after that, I'll head east for the Texas Rose Festival's Cirque de la Rose themed festivities for my seester. I saw the headdress of her costume last weekend and it is GORGEOUS. She named it Gordo. Pictures to come, guys. I can't wait to tell you all about it! I'll have to follow football from my phone since TCU will be taking on Oklahoma State for the first time in the Fort since joining the Big 12.
Then the last weekend of October should be somewhat relaxing and enjoyable since TCU will be playing Texas Tech. So hello, tailgates! And go frogs, as always.
And then, it'll be HALLOWEEN!
And THEN, I will be presenting a paper I wrote last semester on Social TV at a conference on social media hosted in Fort Worth by Tarleton State University. Yep, my paper got accepted to a conference! Crazy and exciting.
So here's to October and the beginning of November!
Also countdown to graduation is around 217 days right now. Not that I'm so excited for my birthday (27 sounds so old), but I'm beyond ready to have my Masters and be done with school.
Hope all is well with you in Blogland!

Last Day
Today is my last day being 25. Tomorrow I enter my late 20's and I'm just not sure how to feel about that. Anyway, I thought I'd recap the highlights of my 25th year and all of its awesomeness, because if we're being honest, 25 has been my absolute favorite year.
1. Kicked off being 25 by having a double celebration with one of my besties.
2. Saw my second Texas Rangers game.
3. Watched my baby sister graduate and said goodbye as she moved away for college.
4. Painted a peacock.
5. Saw one of my best college friends get married (and went to North Carolina for the first time in the process).
8. Moved back to Fort Worth.
7. Introduced Nappy to his first other corgi. It was completely derptastic.
8. One of my best friends announced she was pregnant.
9. Started grad school and met several new, awesome friends.
10. Saw the baby elephants at the FW Zoo.
11. My besties visited me and we went to the FW Zoo and took this adorable picture that captures our friendship to a T.
12. Was this far away from Justin Timberlake.
13. Made cronuts.
14. Saw Mizzou win the Cotton Bowl in a nail biter!
15. Drove in snow for the first time ever (Listen, it's Texas. We don't do cold weather).
16. Co-hosted this lil mama's baby shower.
17. Got this text and was giddy with excitement for a full week.
18. Met the sweetest baby boy in the whole world and got drunk on baby smell. So good.
19. Saw cops on horses. On campus.
20. Saw Chelsea Handler's stand up routine for her newest book, Uganda Be Kidding Me.
21. Made Ninja Turtle eggs with the Little One.
22. Conducted my first major research project for grad school (Social TV, y'all. So cool).
23. Took pictures of Nappy in the bluebonnets at my mom's neighbor's house.
24. Celebrated the end of the semester with these lovely ladies. Don't know how I would have made it through my first year of grad school without them.
25. Enjoyed one of the best years ever. Here's to 26. You have a lot to live up to, but I think we can make it happen!
What's been your favorite age of your life thus far?

Keys to Pop Culture This Week
It's Friday! In fact, it's Good Friday! I hope you all have wonderful plans to eat lots of good food (and candy) with your families and enjoy the Easter holiday. Easter is one of my favorite holidays and has the best food: DEVILED EGGS. Yum.
Anyway, I'm here to bring you some of the important pop culture highlights of the week!
1. Mila Kunis made her first appearance since the announcement that she and Ashton Kutcher were expecting this past weekend at the MTV Movie Awards. She wore black and tried to conceal the baby bump, but we all know it's there. Is anyone else as excited as I am that Jackie and Kelso are a real-life thing and they're having a baby?!
2. In Game of Thrones news (Spoiler alert if you haven't watched last week's episode yet), we finally got some sort of justice for the disaster that was the Red Wedding. It was the Purple Wedding. Joffrey and Margaery finally got married, only for the brat that sits the Iron Throne to be poisoned and choke to death. Now Margaery has been Queen twice only to have her King killed before consummation... Oops.
3. Max Greenfield guest starred on one of my personal favorite shows, The Mindy Project, this week. He was not Schmidt, but a slimey, possibly married guy Mindy hooked up with at Peter's urging. Can we all agree that the addition of Peter Prentis to the Mindy Project has been fantastic? Love his and Mindy's dynamic.
4. The season finale of Scandal was last night. I don't know what happened though because I don't watch it. Am I the only one? I think so...
5. For one of my classes this semester, I am researching Social TV, aka when you post on social media while watching your favorite TV shows. If you are an active Social TV viewer, please consider taking my survey. The survey is closing Sunday morning, but I'd love it if I could get 50 participants before it closes. Thanks so much!
