High Five for Friday

Happy Friday, everyone! I'm linking up for High Five for Friday today!

one: I spent last Saturday and Sunday watching my beautiful seester dance at a local dance competition. It was so much fun and she was amazeballs. After she was done Saturday, we went out for some delicious TCBY.

two: Nappy turns TWO in less than a month! I can't believe my little nugget is almost two years old!

three: There's a Tamagotchi App, y'all. One of mine has already died and this is my newer one. I'm obsessed and feel like I'm reliving my 90's childhood... on my iPhone. #nostalgia

four: I found some GREAT old school pictures the other day and thought I'd share this one from my first day of Kindergarten. How cute was I?!

five: I'm mailing in my official acceptance of my admission to TCU's graduate program. I am SOOOO excited to start this new chapter. I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't scared/nervous/anxious, because I definitely am, but I know this is going to be awesome.

Currently, I'm glued to the news. This Boston Marathon stuff is insane. I'm sending every possible good vibe to Boston and the town of West, Texas. This has been a weird week for our country and these two places need all the goodness we can spare.

Instagram 365 (+1): February

I just remembered to recap my February photos!

February started with the family celebrating my baby sister's 18th birthday at the inaugural Wednesday night family dinner.


One weekend, Nappy and I went to stay with one of my besties, Katie, and we got to go over to the Fort Worth dog park to play with Paris and Ollie (my Amanda friends' dogs).


My dad celebrated his birthday and I instagrammed a picture of us from 12 years ago (almost half my life!).


My mommy's birthday was later that week, too! We celebrated earlier in the week by seeing Ailey II.


And a few days ago, my sister and I got FREE pancakes at IHOP for lunch.


And now my +1 picture from Leap Day! I seriously have the CUTEST dog ever.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

I blogged a few weeks ago about my dad a little when he started his own blog. Today is his birthday! I thought I'd celebrate him on my blog with a few pictures stolen from his Facebook.

Ch-ch-ch-changes

I'm fickle and I'm tired of the old look, so I'm introducing a new look! I'm a little bit in love with this, although it makes me feel really young, but I think it fits the "Welcome to GrownUpLand" theme in an ironic way. Let me know what you think, readers. I know you're out there.

I also made the title part of a collage! I've been trying to figure out how people have been doing this. I had no idea there was an option for it on the design part of blogger, so I made a collage at picnik and loaded it that way! I feel so resourceful! I deserve a pat on the back.
