Pop Danthology 2013

So a few weeks ago I shared DJ Earworm's United State of Pop for 2013. I'm usually really obsessed with his mashups every year, but this year's left me a little underwhelmed. But this morning, BuzzFeed alerted be to another DJ who mashes up the year's hottest hits. And this one doesn't disappoint me. At all.

Anyone wanna have a dance party?

Pure Awesomeness

I don't know how else to title this post. It's going to have so much awesomeness jam packed into it, I think you might be insanely jealous of me or spontaneously combust whilst thinking about how awesome I am.

First: Today is Texas Independence Day. Happy birthday to the best state, Texas! I am a Texan born and raised and you can argue all you want about why your state is better than Texas, but you're going to be wrong. I'm sorry. I love California, Missouri is nice, Florida looks great, but Texas is the best around. And yes, I will be sporting my Texas flag running shorts today. They are the best.

Second: Last night I saw Blue Man Group. WOW. They are so. cool. I don't know how else to describe it. They're hilarious. They're talented. They're silent. They're blue. This isn't from my particular show, but this was my favorite part of the show last night. I wish the third guy had pulled out his Telephone hat... Too bad. I love me some Lady Gaga... But they were amazeballs. Seriously. I'm dying to see them in one of their permanent theaters now. Chicago, Vegas, anyone?

Third: Coldplay was on Good Morning America this morning. What a great way to start your day. That combined with the atmosphere last night at Blue Man has me SOOOO excited for June when I get to see Coldplay in Dallas!

Do you envy me right now or do you envy me? Just kidding, I don't want to sound cocky.

I Solemnly Swear I Am Up To No Good

With just a few days (we can count on one had now) left until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I, I thought I'd pump up any of the readers out there for one of the movies I have been waiting for all year.

My goal over the next few days is to read half of the book to refresh my mind. The book came out 3 summers ago when I was having my amoeba issues and I had a lot of difficulty reading the book even with my little old person magnifier. Needless to say, with that much difficulty reading the book I don't remember a ton of it, just really random fragments. I do recall finishing the book and telling everyone if it wasn't two movies I might have to boycott.

A few weeks ago it was announced that the first part would not be in 3D and I'm a little bummed, but glad that they didn't push the release date to make it 3D. This will be my second Harry Potter midnight premiere and my third midnight movie in this weekend of November (Twilight 2008, New Moon 2009). My group at school made t-shirts both years for Twilight and the group here in Tyler has expressed an interest in dressing up, so I might be making another shirt. If we do, I'm excited about my idea.

Bigger and Better

TCU Amon Carter football stadium renovations are official! SO excited for this to start and be completed!

I'm currently listening to Coach Gary Patterson talking about it. Just listening to him gets me pumped for football season! 19 days!
